On April 1st, 2022, the Dora Edu-Buandoh Foundation (DEB Foundation), a private nonprofit organization was established by the son of Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh in honor of his mother, a Ghanaian professor of English and the first female Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, on her 60th Birthday. The Foundation is registered with the Registrar General as a Nonprofit Organization to provide a steady stream of funding, training and resources dedicated to supporting and inspiring underprivileged female students in higher education in the Central Region of Ghana with scholarships, mentorship, leadership and change programs. The aim is to support equitable access to higher education and the advancement of young women.
